Off Roading Ladakh is a dream for every bike riders. A muddy road along the lake Pangong, to Tsomoriri or Tsokar or Hanle. It may be a crazy idea to ride on that road but undoubtedly that is the most beautiful road to drive in Ladakh. A moment to cherish when you reach 3 highest motorable road of the world in a single journey. Offroading trans himalaya through its beautiful deserted landscape is the adventure. This compact itinerary will take you through the history,culture and precious landscape of trans Himalaya. The frames are well organized for you to capture on day by day. Touched by the adventure of river Indus and Zanskar confluence rafting.

Off Raoding Ladakh Itinerary

Max Altitude:5265 m

 

Day 01: Arrival Day: Reach Leh. From Bus stop or Airport transport to hotel. Spend this day to get used to into Leh at 3524 meters (11,562 ft). Late Afternoon a check your bike and test ride to Leh palace & Shanti Stupa.
Day 02:  Riding Day: Monastery circuit tour from Leh, Shey, Thikshey, Hemis, Stakan And Stok palace. Night stay at Leh. approx  90-100 km ride. 

Day 03: Riding Day:  Early morning start from LEH to Sham Valley till Alchi OR Lamayuru, en route Indus Zanskar Sangam, Magnetic Hills, Basgo Monastery, Patthar Sahib guru Dwara. Night at Leh hotel. approx 120 – 240 Km. If you wish you can add 16km white water rafting in Zanskar river for 1800 INR per head at an additional price.
Day 04:  Riding Day: Early morning start from LEH to Nubra valley via Khardung La pass. Visit Hunder sand dunes. (Camel safari and sightseeing )Stay at camp in Nubra. approx 130 Km ride

Day 05: Riding Day: Today we will ride from Nubra Valley to Pangong Tso, Sangmik, via  Durbuk Tangtse road.  approx 173 Km. 

Day 06: Riding Day: Start from Pangong to Hanle, Spangmik-Man-Merak-Chushul -Saga-Loma-Hanle. approx 170 Km ride.

Day 07: Rest day at Pangong. 

Day 08: Riding Day: Start from Hanle,  Hanle- Loma -Nyoma-Mahe-Sumdo-Karzok ( Tso Moriri).  170 Km approx.

Day 09: Riding Day:  Start from Tsomoriri to Tso Kar lake. Then Tsokar to Leh via Manali Highway, en route Taglang La. Night Stay at Leh. approx 250Km ride.

Day 10: Departure Day:  Say goodbye to Leh. Start for your next destination

An alternative itinerary based on road condition :

Day 08: Riding Day:  Start from Tsomoriri to Tso Kar lake. Then Tsokar to Leh via Manali Highway, en route Taglang La. Night Stay at Leh. approx 250Km ride.

Day 10: Utilize the rest day as per your wish.

Day 09: Departure Day:  Say goodbye to Leh. Start for your next destination

How To Reach Leh


Flight

Flights are there from Delhi,Simla and Srinagar To Kushok Bakula Rimpoche Airport in Leh. Flight tickets can be cheap if booked well in advance.

Road

You can approach Leh either from Delhi, via Manali, Himachal Pradesh,1028Km. Or else you can reach from Srinagar via Kargil, Jammu & Kashmir, 812 Km.

Train

Delhi is the last Railway Station if you plan to come via Manali. Otherway Jammu, Katra, (KEA), Jammu Tawi ( JAT) are the available options from Srinagar side.

Fees Include:

  • Transportation – Pickup and drop on arrival and departure of Leh from Airport or bus stop.
  • 4 Days Twin share Accommodation at premium HomeStay or Guest House at Leh with complimentary BreakFast & at Hanle with BreakFast & Dinner.
  • 3 days Twin share Nubra and Pangong accomdation at Swiss Delux Tent – with complimentary BreakFast & Dinner
  • Riding Gear includes only Helmet, Knee & elbow guard
  • Rafting gear include – dry suit, helmet, life jacket. Rafting will be acompanied by Certified inscrutor and followed by a complementary Lunch.

Exclusions:

  • Fuel for bike
  • Dinner at Leh. And everyday Lunch.
  • Any additional gear
  • Monumental entry fees
  • Nubra camel safari
  • Any type of insurance – personal/ medical/ travel etc.
  • Personal expenses of any kind such as drinks/ laundry/ telephone etc Any medical or evacuation expenses.
  • Anything is not mentioned in above inclusions.

Cancellation:

  • Cancellation prior to 30 days from the start of the event– full refund.
  • Cancellation between 30 days and 15 days to the start of the event– 50% refund.
  • Cancellation less than 15 days to the start of the event– No refund, but if you want to do the same or any other itinerary sometime later within a year, you can avail 50% of the cost paid as a discount on new Itinerary Fee.
  • There will be a deduction of 3.09% as bank processing charges on all refunds.

    • Better acclimatization can keep you ahead to enjoy the travel. It’s really important to get used to the thin air of Ladakh.
    • To get prepared, involve into brisk jogging, cycling, walking or any other sort of cardiac exercise routine at least 30 days prior to the event.
    • Enrolled participants need to submit a duely filled medical report of basic wellness authorised by certified physician.

FAQ

Health Screening:

Thermal screening shall be done for all passengers.

Negative RT-PCR report on arrival (not earlier than 96 hours prior to arrival) is required for all passengers arriving into Leh. RT-PCR timeline starts from the swab collection time.

Quarantine:

If passengers are not carrying negative RT-PCR report, then mandatory 7 days of home quarantine. COVID test may be conducted at the end of quarantine period.

Passengers may have to be tested for COVID & if tested positive, passengers will be transferred to COVID facility for further processing.

If test report is negative then the passengers shall be released from mandatory quarantine.

Exception: Personal of Defense & Central Armed Police are exempted from above provisions.

Passenger Obligation:

All passengers must download Aarogya Setu App

COVID negative report (not earlier than 72 hours of arrival) are MANDATORY for entry into Ladakh.

Well, the experience was good and the team too.We joined them for Bramhatal trek, and they took well care from our... pickup point to drop. They did cover the pickup and drop in their expense, along with homestay for a small group and mule expenses for the trek. All in all, I'd say better to go with them if you have a group of more than 6 people.read more

Being my first trek, I was super vigilant in getting the best operator on board to help me with the preparation and the... overall organisation.I narrowed down on Rockyfeet after a lot of deliberation. It was indeed an excellent choice. Arnab and his team in doing a fabulous job.I felt that Rockyfeet was able to induce a personal touch with the participants which helped in making a tight bond amongst all.The overall organisation was immaculate in terms of guides (Mr. Lappu and Mr. Sonam), food (awesome cooks), porters (Lifeline of the trek), tenting facilities, equipments Etc.The group was well cared for during the entire trek. They ask their customer to write great things about them and in return promise to give... tshirts but that too they fail to giveHere's my review after doing chadar trek with Rockyfeet Arrangements were ok but biggest disappointment is it has been 8 months and still they haven't given the trek certificate.
